Mark Thorp

Mark started insurance in 1987 at the Commercial Union in the claim department progressing through the motor claims to large fire claims, later a stint in underwriting was done. An opportunity to join the survey department was accepted for the CGU, then onto what was Old Mutual and finally joining SA Eagle around 20 years ago as a surveyor. The company names may have changed but the job is still the same with every week bringing a new product and idea to the market.

Lana Mizen

National Head of Hospitality

Lana has extensive experience in the short-term insurance industry having started her insurance career with a broker. She stayed there for over 10 years working across personal, business, marine and engineering lines handling both claims and underwriting. In 1997 Lana joined First Bowring’s commercial underwriting team and, in 2004, was approached by BnB Sure. After a year Lana was appointed as marketing manager, then general manager and in 2010 as a director. Following the purchase of BnB Sure by Bryte in 2015, Lana has worked in a number of roles most recently as National Head of Hospitality.
